Linnorm, Jacob Tegel

Linnorm is based on the distorted curves found in moiré-like patterns, although this reference is hardly—if at all—visible at this point.

Having started in 2019, the typeface was continuously refined until reaching this very final stage. In the beginning the composition of the letters was different, which caused problems with legibility. Having reworked the typeface throughout this semester it resembles a slightly different style while keeping the same idea it was created with. Being based on distorted curves goes without saying that the typeface runs in between regular and extended, but leaning more towards the latter.
